St. Luke Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bugembe, Uganda was founded as a mission congregation on Monday the 9th of December 2024. Pastor Peter Otieno of the Holy Cross Evangelical Lutheran Church, Ahero, Kenya presided over the establishment of the congregation.
St. Luke is under the care the St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Dalby, Queensland Australia, and overseen by Pastor Jake Zabel of St. John’s and Pastor Nolan Mattson, of the St. John’s USA Mission.
Bakerr Bwiiso was appointed as the kuster of St. Luke.
