Rev. Jake Zabel is the pastor of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Dalby, Queensland, Australia.
Jake was baptized and raised in the Lutheran Church of Australia.
Jake studied at the Australia Lutheran College of the Lutheran Church of Australia from 2013-2016 and received his Bachelor of Theology and his Advanced Diploma in Theology and Ministry.
In 2017 Jake joined the Australian Evangelical Lutheran Church to do his vicarage from March 2017 to February 2018.
In 2018 Jake was excommunicated from the Australian Evangelical Lutheran Church.
In December of 2018 Jake was examined for the ministry and approved.
On May 22nd 2019 Jake was ordained by Rev. Magnus Sorensen of the Augustana Evangelical Lutheran Church in Århus, Denmark.
In September 2019 Rev. Zabel was a founding member of the Confessional Orthodox Evangelical Lutheran Communion.
On January 25th 2020 Rev. Zabel was officially appointed to the Consistory of the COELC.
On July 30th 2023 Rev. Zabel became the Mission Supervisor for the St. Titus Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kundis, Wabag Enga, Papua New Guinea
