Rev. Nolan Mattson is the mission pastor of St. John’s Lutheran Mission in the USA.
Nolan was born on Long Island, New York on May 14th 1991 and was baptized on September 15th 1991. Nolan was baptized as a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
Nolan obtained a bachelors degree from Thiel College (Evangelical Lutheran Church in America) in 2017. At this point in time Nolan left the ELCA and joined the Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod.
Nolan attended Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri from 2020-2021.
Nolan left the LCMS and joined the Confessional Orthodox Evangelical Lutheran Communion on March 27th 2022.
On April 23rd 2023 Nolan was examined and approved for the Office of the Ministry.
On April 23rd 2023 Nolan was ordained and called as the pastor of St. Augustine’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA, by Rev. Magnus Sorensen of the Augustana Evangelical Lutheran Church in Århus, Denmark.
In June 2023 the St. Augustine’s congregation was dissolved. On July 9th 2023 Pastor Mattson was called as the mission pastor of the St. John’s Lutheran Mission in the USA.
